My family and I shared our first experience breaking away from the usual chain hotel routine, and we discovered a lovely bed and breakfast in our local city. The Painted Lady Bed & Breakfast located in Augusta, Georgia has all the comforts of home, the elegance of the Victorian era, great hospitality, and an elective flair filled with southern charm. We shared three experiences as a family at The Painted Lady. We shared our anniversary, a girls’ sleepover, and my brother’s family lodged over the holidays. I would encourage families to switch up from their usual hotel accommodations in travels taking advantage in staying at a bed and breakfast.
“An All In One Vacation Location”
The Painted Lady of Augusta is a beautiful Victorian styled home with 10 ft ceilings, rich hardwood floors, brightly colorful stained glass windows, four decorative featured bedrooms, a large formal dining room, and two baths. The bed and breakfast features a warm lounge area with a pool table, cozy fire place, and a mini bar. Valarie Smith, the owner of The Painted Lady, went through great detail within the decor of each room giving each room it’s own distinctive look, vibe, and feel. Guests can choose to stay in any of the themed rooms of their pleasure such as The Romantic Retreat, Coastal Get Away, Southern Charm, or The Shades of Grey Room. It felt like an all in one vacation location to us. My husband and I loved the “Romantic Retreat” for our anniversary. The room is filled with sliver, satin, and has a little”bling” that gives you a feeling of luxury. My daughter loved the “Southern Charm” room with it’s bubbly southern belle type of vibe that any pretty in pink princess would adore. I was head over hills with the ” Coastal Get Away” with it’s cool colors, beach like appeal, and relaxed type of mood, and the plus was the bonus day bed. I would encourage couples looking for a bit of spice to try the “Shades of Grey” room with it’s mixture of passion, exotic patterns, and rich colors. There’s a bonus lounge attached to the “Shades of Grey Room”, and the”Romantic Retreat” has an area for attending business matters. You and your family can watch a good movie on the flat wide screen television, play a game of pool, or cozy up next to the fire place following a cool Georgia’s winter stroll taking in the Augusta Downtown attractions in the downstairs lounge area. During the spring and summer months relax on the front porch which is definitely a southern tradition.
Special Events & Holidays
This is not your “Mom & Pop’s Bed and Breakfast” inn. The Painted Lady can host small venues, events, and conferences at a very affordable rate. The formal dining room can be transformed to what you like. The front entrance will set the tone for your event with class.
I would definitely recommend this place for an extended date night, a visit to Augusta during the Master’s Tournament, a girls’ weekend, holiday fellowship, or your next intimate event. Check it out for yourself and book your stay https://www.thepaintedladyaugustaga.com/
